SPORT, locals in the news [D209, BF, BW]

ChicagoSports.com (Bob Sakamoto):
Proviso East point guard Jacob Pullen, considered one of the state's top prospects, has narrowed his college choices to Oklahoma, Kansas State, Dayton, St. Louis and Alabama-Birmingham. Even though his mother works at Loyola, that wasn't enough for the Ramblers to make his final cut.

Hersey's girl volleyball coach, Nancy Lill, is approaching 600 wins. She's a Brookfield native. See Daily Herald (John Leusch).

Mary Hansen of Brookfield is listed at one of four leaders of Dominican University's volleyball team. See DU press release.

[UPDATE: Augustana news release:
Jenna Richardson (Walther Lutheran HS, Bellwood, Ill.) was impressive in her first collegiate match. After dropping nine of the first eleven games, Richardson won six straight games to even the match and send it to a third set super-breaker. In the super-breaker, she jumped out to an early lead and fought off Jamie Durkee for a (2-6, 6-3, (11-9)) victory at number six singles.
