POL, Dems will hold African-American Summit in Detroit
An email from Howard Dean:
On behalf of the Democratic National Committee and the DNC's Black Caucus, we cordially invite you to attend our African American Leadership Summit (AALS), "Our Values, Our Voices, Our Vote," on September 22-24th, 2006, in Detroit, Michigan. As a leading voice in the Democratic community, the DNC's Black Caucus is pleased to provide an opportunity to engage in a discussion of issues that are important to our community and provide a venue for continued accountability within the Democratic Party.
This summit will inspire more African American participation in the Democratic Party and provide helpful tools to continue to improve voter outreach, field organizing and communication strategies. It will also include an intense discussion of important issues to the African American community, including education, voting rights, the minimum wage, jobs and economic opportunity, social justice and health care. The town hall meeting, panels, and training activities will demonstrate our Party's commitment to the Democratic values that you embody.
We would be honored to have you join us in Detroit for the summit. To register for the "Our Values, Our Voice, Our Vote" summit September 22-24th at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, please go to:
