Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer gave Ryan 78 months.
Prosecutor Pat Collins is arguing for a sentence right now of between 78 and 97 months. (Scott Fawell got 78 months. Betty Loren Maltese got 97 months.)

Guru, stop your nonensense, and stop acting like Oliver Stone, you know ,conspirator, drunk, drug addicted, women beater, supporter of Castro,Mao,Arafat,Islamo Fascism and Michael Moore, and all who hate America, and supporter of Corruption!!
Ryan should have got 25 years for stealing and abusing the public trust!!!!
What makes Ryan better than a Bank Robber or a Drug Kingpin or swindler??
In my view, he is the worst of criminals because he was given so much power and abused it for his personal benifit and for the benifit of his friends!!!!!
With your reasoning, I guess they should have let him out, and not sentenced him.
Letting go of the Death Row was not the problem, the problem are people like you in goverment, the enablers, who applaud these people to continue to abuse there offices and not make them accountable for there actions. The enablers are the drug dealers or the peddlers/leaches who work in goverment, who as long as there making money, and it's not there friends or family using the drugs or being hurt by decisions of the polticians, justify there exisitance by stating,"If I don't sell it,then someone less will"!!!
Guru, you keep on being part of the combine, the supporter of dicators and corruption, supporting Stroger and Ryan.
I just wish you'd make up your mind and telling me are you a Democrat or a Republican, or are you really an Oppurtunist??

Guru, I just saw channel two and saw your friends who you feel so sorry for,Now there’s a proud moment for Illinois…an ex-governor who got a previous governor convicted, now is escorting another convicted ex-governor into the Federal courthouse for sentencing. Couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried.
I'm sure your in mourning now for Ryan, but why in the hell are you not outraged about the 6 Willis children killed because of the corruption in the Sec. of State's office under Ryan ?
By your support for Ryan and Stroger, your a certified accomplice to Murder, not only with those Willis children but the many others who have died in Cook County hospital ER's because there were'nt enough Doctors and Nurses avalable ,instead the ER had to many political hacks like yourself making $100,000!!
Proviso Guru your the SS in disguise!

I hope this is the beginning of the end to the “business as usual” and culture of corruption in Illinois and especially in Proviso. Yet, Todd Stroger tries to avoid a Federal Monitor as late as yesterday and the Provsio Guru defends him. I think the public outrage will only come once the public equates the cost of corruption to loss of human life, loss of jobs, increased taxes, and a general lower quality of life as seen in Maywood,Melrose Park and other villages in Proviso, as well as our schools.
Inidividuals like the Proviso Guru, are in the same league as Gene Moore,Chris Welch,Theresa Kelly,Serpico and others.
Proviso voters, remember that our villages and schools are affected by our leadership. If State Rep. Yarbrough defends or employs the Provsio Guru, thus she then must agree with his views!!!!
Anybody who defends Ryan,Stroger and others must be cut from the same cloth and must go to Oxford Prison!!!

I hope Ryan enjoys his time in prison.

If George Ryan's onetime chief of staff Scott Fawell is serving 61/2 years in prison, shouldn't the former governor do more time?

I'd be surprised if Ryan ends up serving a day in jail. Maybe he'll save us a chunk of cash and follow the same fate of Kenneth Lay.
And as you sit in traffic on the Ike (remember the Hillside Strangler that Ryan moved.......1 mile east) you can remember some of the businesses Ryan displaced to move the traffic.

The strangler hasn't changed only moved down. Corruption in the Sec of State's has been with us forever. If you believe it only existed under Ryan's watch, you must have been born yesterday.
