ADMIN, namecalling on Proviso Probe

It has come to my attention that some people post comments to Proviso Probe that they don't really believe, but they want to provoke a fight. I don't like this practice and I would ask Proviso Probe participants to stop doing this. If someone says something really provocative consider the possibility that it's really somebody just trying to stir the shit pot.

Also, I have liberally allowed namecalling, but I am going to change this policy. Names that are references to a person's sexuality will be deleted. Don't use "bitch ass," "punk ass" and the like.

I'm also close to making a rule to prohibit references to bodies in a negative way. Does is matter if so-and-so is fat?

  • Thanks Carl. It does get to be a real drag to have to read posts with so much swearing. Make the point without the swear words and name-calling.

  • agreed, you reap what you sow. I can't tell if this post is real or satire.

  • Here, here! I agree that some of the trashy childish language used here such as bitch ass, punk etc. is overboard. If someone feels that passionate and has those type feelings, use another forum to transmit your thoughts. Not here!

  • pmsawatcher, I think the problem with what you suggest is that this blog (and keep in mind that's all it is) takes on the characteristics of the forestparkfirst or provisoinsider blogs......meaning approval before publishing.

  • Call me "old teacher"
Hey Carl: Please check this out. Many teachers contribute to the non-matching 403B Valic Annuity. A few teachers have found some discrpencies in our last pay check: namely, their 403B contrbution has been deducted from their paychecks but not sent to Valic. What's the deal????

  • old teacher, what's the explanation provided by D209 and the teachers union?

  • from "old teacher":
the official explanation is change of personnel in the payroll office. They say this is why money being taken out of a teacher's check is not immediately send to VALIC; my accounting instincts tell me that the REAL reason money is not sent immediately is that they are floating OUR money to get interest on it at our expense. Other paycheck surprises: teachers who have done after-school tutoring and other things since start of school have not yet been paid; in fact, tutoring has been cancelled as have after-school library hours. (Pretty ironic in a district where schools are on academic warning and test scores must be raised, huh?) Union sez "be patient".

  • PROVISO UNION SUCKS! THEY ARE ALL HACKS FOR WELCH WALLACE AND LIBKA! THEY ARE NOT CONCERNED
