Alderman Todd Stroger spoke to the Proviso Democratic Organization last night.

Anybody who was there have comments? I'm still writing my observations.

  • Yea, I was there and he is dumber in person and when speaking, than he is in photos.
Also I saw the Proviso Guru drooling all over him and tell him, "I'm with you","what ever you need in Proviso" "just call me"!
Afterwards I heard Stroger went to dinner at Gene Moore's house.

  • I was there barely cause it was packed with no seats! (Yarbrough needs bigger quarters!)
I don't think he's dumb but I do not think he's ready for this job. How could he be? He's never had to work for one damn thing. I know this is an imposition for him to have to actually go out and campaign...ask for support? surely you jest!
the democrats should be ashamed of ourselves to field such a weak candidate. (Calling Forrest Claypool. ) Actually, Todd said that Claypool will be onboard...wonder what Forrest says about that?

Todd's record in Springfield is non-existant. in the city council? Alderman Ed Smith (he was there) could have spoke on that if he had one but he said nothing about Todd's performance on the city council. Sad but true it's cold soup warmed over.

And to "not impressed" he and Geno were classmates in Springfield. So it figures that he would still be cozy with that loser.

  • I am wondering who is ready for the Cook County Board president position? It is not Toddler Stroger! I am a black man. And I cannot believe, I am saying this. Martin Luther King Jr is rolling in his grave wondering how the democratic party made the decision to support Toddler. I think the party would have been better off selecting Claypool. He would have been a better choice. On the board already. He knows the issues. He knows what work and don't work. Black politicians are saying white folks do it - pass on their political positions to family members. Well, that is true. But, the fact of the matter, Toddler is not white. We still live in white
America. The whites get away with it, because us negroes don't vote! And it probably not enough of us to prevent it from happening. I believe that come November 7, 2006 between 7:00 PM -10:00 PM, Perica will be giving his victory speech. Perica has my vote. Sorry my brothers and sisters.

  • I do not need to prove to you that I am black Mr. Dave D.. Trust me I am 100% black. I am still a democrat, but I am not going to vote for Toddler.

  • November 7th, I'm just wondering why you felt it necessary to tell us you are black? Are you apologizing or is something written somewhere that black people necessarily vote for black people as a matter of course?
By the way, ain't none of us 100% nothing except if you are African?

Some of us actually look at a person's record and where they stand on issues prior to casting a ballot. We know that there are many of our own preachers, brothas and sistas that would sell us out post haste. It's 2006 guy, not 1886 and we know the difference.

I agree with you about the Democratic party fielding such a joke of a candidate. Let's see what the people think
