In search of more playing time, redshirt freshman guard Mickey Perry opted to leave the University of Wisconsin men's basketball team....
[A]s the regular season started, found himself as the fifth guard in a four-guard rotation, behind starters Kammron Taylor and Michael Flowers and true freshmen Jason Bohannon and Trevon Hughes....
Perry, a Maywood, Ill., native who attended Proviso East - the same school as former UW standout Michael Finley - will have to sit out a year per NCAA rules and will be eligible beginning with the second semester next season. As of Friday, it was not clear as to which schools Perry was considering a transfer.
