The map depicts the change in median income by state since President George W. Bush took office. I got the chart from John Campanelli at Daily Kos who in turn got it from the Washington Monthly.

So when someone tells you how great the economy is, you should probably ask the source, "For whom is the economy great?"

The economy can grow and regular families can lose income and wealth.
