ADMIN, no more spin-off names

everybody-hates-chris has complained about other posters ripping-off his screen name, like everybody_hates_chris_2 and everybody-really-hates-chris. See the most recent complaint.

I agree with the complaint, but not with the solution.

I request the individuals using derivative pseudonyms make up their own nomme de cyber. No more spin-offs of existing names. I will start enforcing this from now on.

  • Is the person posting under "everybody-hates-chris" the original "everbody-hates-chris"?

    I can accept that there is an "Everybody Hates Chris Organization" to which multiple people belong. But in terms of posting, you need your own pseudonym.

    However, in online gaming, groups of players form clans, syndicates, etc. in which each member has the organization name incorporated into the screen name.

    For example, someone with a screen name like, "The-Creature-from-Salt-Creek" could affiliate with the "Everybody Hates Chris Organization" by becoming "The-Creature-from-Salt-Creek-EHCO".

    I've warned people about the knock-off pseudonyms. Tomorrow morning I'll commence deleting knock-off pseudonyms.

    ehc, I didn't start deleting right away because I wanted to give people a chance to talk it out. I think the discussion is over, but people have the rest of the day to weigh in.

    ehc, why are you asking me to make the case for Yarbrough? I'm my own person. Proviso Probe is not a project of the Yarbrough campaigns for state rep or Dem committeeman.

    I personally like Karen & Henderson Yarbrough. But politically, Karen is a pretty mainstream Democrat.

    Here's how I explain Democrats and Republicans: Democrats are wrong on about half the issues; Republicans are wrong on just about everything.

    There are a number of things on which I disagree with Karen Yarbrough. But the Democrats have always been a diverse coalition that include people with diverse ideas on public policy. One of the proudest traditions of the Democratic Party is having a spirited debate of the issues.

    ehc, if you don't want to support Karen Yarbrough don't. My purpose in life is not to sell Karen Yarbrough to voters or Proviso Probe readers.

    I try to stick to the vision and mission on the top of the blog. If I'm not doing it, complain. But selling candidates is not the mission of Proviso Probe.

    I think I can tell the difference between the original EHC and the imposter by the profile number that comes up when I put the cursor on the name.

  • If the individual that swiped the EHC identity is Emanuel Christopher Welch, it's a good metaphor for his political career.

    He's better at achieving discord through underhandedness and playing dirty than accomplishing something positive through legitimate means.

    I think you've sniffed in too many hazardous chemicals, while sitting on the mesq. abatement commitee.

    Answer these questions, as a matter of fact, and for the record:

    What have you done on behalf of the betterment of education in Proviso and on behalf of the CHILDREN?

    How much money have you laundered to your PR agency through D209 and Proviso taxpayers?

    How much of D209 and tax dollars did you misappropriate to fund Moore's and others ghost "incorportations" such as, Gray & Associates, M+3, etc?

    Where are all you alleged supports and 'friends' now in your very desparate time of need, Pasquale, Calderone, Bruno, Silvestri, Madigan, Stroger?

    You're so pathetically desparate to form some semblence of organization and supports, that you've turned to Ireland, who in the last election, didn't have enough support to run competively against Pasquale. Not one candidate on Ireland's ticket pulled victory.

    What are you doing idiot?

    I almost feel sorry for you "sweet cheeks". Desparate is written all over you.

    If you can't answer the above questions don't worry, I will in January and Febuary.

    I hope you and Geno have worked an exit strategy right out of Proviso.
