discretionary spending by board members

I was told the Village of Maywood provides funds to each board member for discretionary spending.

What other governing bodies provide these funds to the board members/trustees?

How much do they pay?

What limits are placed on how this money is spent?

  • define "discretionary" It's the tax payers money and I hope like hell its disclosed! I'd like to hear more about this fund, who gets it, how much it is and how it's spent.

  • I tried to call Maywood village hall, but no one answered the numbers in the phonebook.

  • Mayor Yarbrough and Rep. Yarbrough should be ashamed of themselves. This village is broke and filled with corrupt pols like Yarbrough, Moore and others. Why on God's great earth would they have a discretionary spending fund when Maywood looks worse than Iraq? Why Henderson and Karen? Why?

  • I am sure Rep. Yarbrough former campaign treasurer and the new finance director, Jason Irvin, is going to recommend increasing the amount of discretionary spending. Go Jason!
