As of June 30, 2005 Lightford had $4,711.99. The Board of Elections has levied numerous fines against her campaign committee too.

I believe Chris" I 'll sue you" Welch will run against her because he has nowhere to go! He is afraid to go up against Yarbourgh, and eventhough he is friends with Lightford, he will need to take her out because he has nowhere else where he can run and possibly win!

Did'nt Lighford have a thing with Welch? Welch would not go against her, eventhough he stated she was a "sloppy odorful",babe, he would give a free ride! Has he ever given her a campaign contribution?

This stuff is really below the belt! I thought we were talking about possible candidates for the 4th senatorial district next year?
I know that Ron Lawless is always available if someone is willing to finance his candidacy. LaShawn Ford is a up and rising star in business on the westside. Has credibility with local, state and federal officials. He would be a great candidate.

Who's going to run against Karen Yarbrough? She certainly needs to be replaced! She does nothing for the people of Maywood, her heart is in Oak Park!

Hey Anonymous 11:22am, Lighford gave Whelch money not the other way around! Thhe Forest Park Review reported that she gave 209 $90,000 to support some "hug-a-thug" program. Actually, the article lays out Lightford's skirt with the "dark side" and how she got away. Karl ought to know about this deal. It was in the paper he writes for....right Karl?
