ED, home schooling and promoting children ahead of peers
A couple of brothers, ages 10 & 11, will start Proviso Math and Science Academy in the fall. There have been a few news stories about these brothers who were home schooled. See CBS2 (Mia Martinez) and ABC7.

The Magnet school has been very successful,though you would'nt know it by reading this blog.
I agree that both East and West are screwed up and a mess, but the Magnet if not polticalcized will prevail and make all Proviso proud!

This thread and the comments prove an earlier point I made on this blog. This blog is so politically one sided that it will never gain real credibility. I saw a fantastic story about the whiz kids at the Math and Science Academy on Channel 5, but the administrator did not post a link to their website like he did for channels 2 and 7. Is that because the reporter interviewed the Board President? Also, this is a hoot, what is wrong with a television reporter interviewing the Board President. If it were another person, they would have interviewed that person. Also, if Welch had missed 5 months of meetings, the people on this site would be screaming. But no one is talking about Gary Marine.
