M06, who was at LaShawn Ford fundraiser? [8th Rep]

I've been told by a couple sources that Congressman Danny K. Davis and state senate candidate James T. Smith both attended LaShawn Ford's fundraiser on Friday.

  • The Ford campaign was also distributing Stroger yardsigns.

    But this doesn't necessarily mean Ford has Stroger's support. The campaign could be distributing the yardsigns to create the appearance of having Stroger's support.

    I was there and Congressman Davis and James Smith were both there along with 100 or more other people.

    If you know anything about Congressman Davis, you would know that he truly believes in the democratic process -- he has never been one of those machine politicians that dictates to supporters and staffers who they should or should not support. I have followed his career and have found him to be refreshingly independent minded and never embraced plantation politics -- that's why many people like him.

    I understnad from a person who works with Davis's political group -- that Davis told members they could support anyone they wished for the 8th District race.

    I deleted them. My policy is to delete anonymous posts because they create confusion. It's easy to post under a pseudonym.
