CRIME, parallel drug busts [BF, BW, M]
Riverside/Brookfield Landmark reports on a case where Brookfield and Countryside police busted a guy with dealer quantity drugs in Lyons.
The case seems quite analogous to the case where Jeremiah Norris was busted by Maywood PD in Bellwood.
BTW, I talked to Officer Wheeler who said Ron Anderson was in the house when Norris was arrested. Anderson was brought to the station for questioning but not arrested. This contradicts the newspaper account.
One possibility is that the newspaper was wrong and Anderson didn't complain about the newspaper reporting that he was arrested for drugs less than two weeks before his election.
Another possibility is that the newspaper was correct and that Maywood PD has rewritten history.
Morris E. Carter III had his bond set at $1 million. What was Norris' bond?
