Sources in Melrose Park are saying that the Welch Group is also involved with both groups and will be contracted to do most of the construction and development.
My question is, How many projects does Welch have his greedy hands in?
If you read the Sun Times article you'll note as well , that the recent lobbyist hired by 209 and Welch, that his father is planning to build condos downtown near the post office.I wonder what the Welch group will be doing on that project?No wonder Welch hired him,these hogs just get fatter and fatter!

The days are past for shopping centers like Winston Plaza and Cermak Plaza in Berwyn. A row of stores with a huge open parking lot are a waste of space. Parking garages and mixed uses will take the place of the old commercial dinosaurs. It is a welcome change.
