Is K. Yarbrough out and Ald. Ed Smith in?
Sun-Times (Abdon M. Pallasch) wrote about the possible Democratic candidates for Cook County State's Attorney. But it also includes some information about candidates for Cook County Recorder of Deeds.

Yarbrough had initially contemplated challenging Moore for his seat but more recently has decided to let Ald. Ed Smith (28th) challenge the incumbent to lead the $10 million, 200-employee office.

What did I tell you ! After a long hard thought Karen did the right thing, with the Mayor Daley wanting Alderman Smith out of city council after being a pain in his side for so many years. Richie has lined up all the votes he needed to be slated next week. Oh yeah since you want post anonymous comments. Ring a bell ???

I don't get it. Why would Yarbrough let Ed Smith run against another Maywoodian and against the only Suburban elected official in County goverment??
Maywood has four elected officials,Moore and Flowers who are elected countywide and Yarbrough as state rep. and Lightford as state senator.Why would another Maywoodian try to take out "one of their own" ?Maywood needs all the help , but yet Yarbrough is willing to back someone else and from the city take out one of are own???
I think that if Yarbrough sides with the city and DEd Smith, she will expose herself for future defeat because instead of strengthing Maywood and Proviso, she is weakening it!!!

Great job Karen! Good move Smith! Let's get Mr. Moore out, over and done with. I am a Maywoodian and I want to get Moore out, quick, fast and in a hurry. He's has done nothing for Maywood except allowed bad politics to take over our schools and neglect our childrent. At one time he ran the community of Maywood, and look at how much mess we are digging ourselves out of. I want everyone to work together real hard to get Moore out! No More of Eguene "Gene" Moore mess, will we stand!

I really admire the Yarbrough team. Karen just didnt think of this herself. She had to have met with her team and they decided what to do and how to do it. not saying that she did not sit down or make phone calls to the higher ups AKA (Madigan / Daley) but she has a well oiled organization with a lot of smart folk in it. What do we have to do to get on board with Yarbrough. ? When are the meetings and where are they at?
