James K. Graham, Sr., and Generoso "Gino" Trombetta at the Neopolitan Social Club, aka Club Napoletano, on Friday night.

Trombetta was wrongfully terminated at District 209. Outside of superintendents Trombetta is the most famous Proviso case of someone wrongfully terminated going to court and winning a big judgment.

Graham has the same position at District 88 (Bellwood and Stone Park elementary schools) as Trombetta had at Proviso Township High Schools (District 209). Graham was fired after less than two months on the job, in a firing he believes was political. This entry linked to an article that explained the back story.

Graham met Trombetta for the first time at Club Napoletano. The club is a private social club. Members get to eat and drink for a flat rate fee. Call club president Mike Manzo, 708-268-4050, for details.

I have been working at Club Napoletano for about three weeks.

  • What's the differance between Manzo and Todd Stroger? Nothing, both hired and promoted unqualified family members to high paying positions.Trombetta deserved to be fired and the only sad thing about it was that the taxpayers have had to pay the Manzo family for their justifiable firing! Manzo should be ashamed, because he and his family are no different than the Strogers!

  • So, if Manzo is Todd Stroger what does that make Chris Welch? Just asking. Be fair and call a spade a spade. Comparing Manzo to Welch is really no comparison. Yes, Manzo had his issues, but Welch has taken Proviso and PUT IT IN THE HOLE!

    Manzo's father worked for 209, and I believe a cousin, but Welch has over 13 UNQUALIFIED relatives working for 209 and not to mention all of his political whores, i.e. Corthell and Angela McDaniel, Brandon Gale, Alexis Wallace, Dylester Palm, Nikita Johnson, Carla Johnson, Marcia Thompson, Kyle Hastings, PR firm, lobbyist buddy, law firms, and etc. Welch and his buddies are getting paid while the students suffer. Welch doesn't care about education. When was the last time the Welch majority board dealt with an education issue? About 8 or 9 months ago. DAMN SHAME!
    What makes Welch despicable is that he is a Black man doing this to his own people and community.

    I'll rather endure a seven member Manzo board any day before a Welch controlled board.
