M06, Calvinism [8th Rep]

Pioneer Press (Chris LaFortune) is reporting Representative Calvin Giles campaign committee is facing some steep fines that may keep him off the ballot.

Question for Giles: what’s so hard about filing forms on time?

Rumor holds that Rev. Carey L. Sparks is considering filing to run in the Dem primary. If the State Board of Elections disqualifies Giles from the ballot it should be an easy race.

  • The Illinois State Board of Elections list of unpaid fines does not have Yarbrough listed.

In the past Lightford was listed, but she isn't now.

So it's possible that Yarbrough has been fined, but paid the fines. Or that the ruling against her campaign committee hasn't been posted online. Or that another supporter of Emanuel Christopher Welch is lying.
