CRIME, pre-church services robbery attempt [M]

A Maywood man was shot in the hand by a robber as he attempted to make his way to church.

The 57-year-old man was unlocking his fence gate so he could drive his car to church at 9:04 a.m. Oct. 16 when he saw two young men walking down the alley, police said.

Give the robbers credit for hitting him up before the minister got to him.
