Veterans shoots himself in VA parking lot

A veteran, Barry Gay, 50, killed himself in the parking lot of Hines VA Hospital. See Proviso Herald.

Maureen Dyman, spokesperson for hospital, said Gay never entered the hospital and the last time he received treatment from a VA hospital was in 2002.

I expect there was health care Gay would have benefited from--mental health or otherwise--that the VA failed to provide this veteran.
