A07, James Boyd, a former board member [D209]
James Boyd, a Westchester resident and a former member of the board of education, is running for school board of Proviso Township High Schools (District 209).
In 1994 at the request of Mike Manzo District 209 discontinued paying for health insurance for board members. Paying for board member health insurance violated Illinois law because school districts are not allowed to compensate board members for their service.
Paying for health insurance wasn't limited to employees and board members. District 209 also paid for the health insurance of the former attorney's widow.
In the early 1990s District 209 obtained $15 million by issuing a bond. Boyd arrange for the money to be invested with a bank in Wisconsin. Why not invest locally?
Apparently Boyd was working as a financial consultant for the bank in question.
A reporter from one of the local newspapers seemed hopeful that Boyd is an independent candidate who can bring professionalism and civility to the board of education. People in the Education Reformers camp see Boyd's candidacy as candidates encouraged to run to divert votes in Westchester from the Harris, Kelly and McDermott slate which would presumably do well in Westchester.

Regarding James Boyd, he is one BIG PHONY! Mr. Boyd's mailer states he is the only leader that can straighten out 209.Now really,are you a leader Mr. Boyd?? Are you truely Independent?
He also states that when he left the board in 1996 the ACT and SAT test scores were the highest in 20 years.Now Mr. Boyd are you saying the ACT and SAT scores of 1996 were higher than they were in 1976?How about than in 1977,1978,1979,1980, how about in 1988????I think instead of making up things, you should show us proof.How about it, Jim Boyd???When I graduated West in 78,50 graduates went on to Medical school, and 6 entered the eary adimssion program for medical school at Northwestern!!!Another 100 or so became attorneys, with similar number becoming accountants and 1 astronaut!!!Around 200 became teachers and another 100 or so became nurses and pharmicists!!!Also around 40 or so became bankers.So who you crappin???
Mr. Boyd is and always has been a Gene Moore and August Taddeo and Danny Cogliniese and now a Chris Welch puppet!!!He also is closely aligned with Westchester's Melrose Park click, trustee Angelo Luciano and Don Sloan!!
So much is James Boyd in Melrose Park's pocket and Chris Welch's and Gene Moore's pocket, that Angelo Luciano,the underboss in Westchester of the Melrose Park crew(crew mwmbers,Donny Luciano and his son the new head detective of westchester police,Mayor Gattusso,Steve Bussa,Joe Christpher,Tommy Robbins and his brother,Brian Cross and Don Sloan and his crew of Lugi,Vitek,Herb and his two nephews brian and tommy) and sitting trusttee in Westchester, that Angelo"the hook" Luciano endorsed him in his own mailer!!! The reason that is so big and such news is because never, ever has Angelo "the hook" Luciano,along with his nephew and the Mayor,Gattusso, have they ever endorsed another canidiate other than there own.So why would "the Hook" Luciano enodorse Boyd for 209 in Westchester and not the other Westchester resident and canidiate,Kevin McDermott???The reason why is because Luciano and his nephew Donnie"Brasco" Luciano have a long history of getting contracts for electrical work at 209!It started when Boyd was 209 board president and was stopped when Manzo was board president, then has continued under Luciano ally and Boyd ally,Chris Welch.
Also another point to consider is that Boyd, who is a banker and Angelo "the hook" Luciano who also was a banker, both worked deals in the past with 209 money,Westchester money,St. Joseph high school money, and Westchester-Broasdview Water agency money to invest funds from these three goverment entities and one school into Banks of interest where James Boyd and Angelo Luciano had connections and were reciving money on commissions as "Financial consultants". No wonder Angelo Luciano worked so hard to get his friends bank into the old McDonalds site on Roosevelt Rd. in Westchester.Even though it would bring no taxes into the village, Angelo Luciano and Mayor Gattusso and James Boyd and Don Sloan did not care, it was about there commission!!!Luciano does not want to see McDermott win, because he knows then his gig would be up at 209!!!
One more question, why Did Angelo Luciano,Mayor Gattusso,James Boyd and Don Sloan harrass the owners of O'Briens restuarant and Tavern, who wanted to buy the corner at Mannheim and Roosevelt,as well as the I-HOP restuarant property , so as to open up the big restarant chain and bar, why were they discouraged from buying and bulding a profitiable bussiness in Westchester??? Is it because O'Briens did'nt pay Angelo Luciano for consultant work or would'nt use his nephew for the electrical work or use his banks contacts,like James Boyd so as to get paid for a finders fee, or did O'Brien refuse to give Sloan space at the restuarant to sell his slushies and also refused to name his nephews Brian and Tommy Sloan as supervisors for the janitors???

Rickey, Rickey, Rickey... will the hostility ever stop? Why are you so bent on the Luciano's? You should get your facts straight, though, because everything you've said is all BS. Get a life, would you and stop all the animosity. You and Manzo should get real jobs and shut the fudge up!!!
