A07, candidate forum Village of Forest Park [FP]
Last night candidates for Village of Forest Park participated in a candidate forum. Forest Park Forums has a discussion.
Since, I'm a candidate it's hard for me to give an evaluation separate from my personal perspective. I was happy with the questions asked. I wasn't as smooth as I'd like, but I think I made my points.
The candidates for mayor are:

Before the event Calderone said he was talking to the attorney who represented Illinois Supreme Court Justice Bob Thomas in his defamation suit against a local newspaper about suing Forest Park Review for Bill Dwyer's column.
Afterward, former village clerk Joan White was talking to school board member Steve Johnsen about White running as a write-in for the two-year position without a candidate filed for election. Apparently a number of people are interested in running as write-in candidates.

Dwyer is going to lose his shirt, car and house on this one. And Dan Haley is going to have to find a new hobby other than Forest Park bashing. Maybe these so-called journalists should have some facts before they start attacking - otherwise, it's call - DEFAMATION. Bye-bye Dwyer, Haley, Steinbach and the rest of the Forest Park haters.

Is it possible for Calderone to sue someone for telling the truth? Eventually the truth about Calderone, Ryan and that crooked police department of theirs will come out. Our thank's to the "G"!

It looks like Ryan, Calderone & Murphy are finally in the Fed's cross hairs. When will they pull the trigger? Hey you two Irish thugs and your Italian puppet master what is it like to be dead men walking? I laugh at you three and can't wait for the hammer to fall on your over-sized heads. I hope an NBC 5 news crew will be there to videotape the three of you walking out of village hall in cuffs with your coats pulled over your heads like the criminals you are. Wanna bet NBC doesn't forget to turn on the video camera????

Promoting fiscal responsibility and ethical conduct is exactly what this village needs to keep its reputation!

Like it is any secret that numerous lawsuits have been settled by the village on behalf of Murphy for police brutality against blacks? Like it is any secret that Murphy's wife is Ryan's secretary? Like it is any secret that Calderone and Ryan have been covering for Murphy and other cops were going to testify against Murphy in the Sidney Hooks beating until Ryan stepped in?
