Forest Park First been around for awhile, but Forest Park Mayor Anthony Calderone is writing more frequently now.
Westchester Trustee Rick Fox writes Westchester Public Affairs. I think it would be great if we had elected officials making themselves accessible in this way in every taxing body.

I agree with you Carl, that I wish elected officials would take the time to reach out to there communities by using modern technology.
One thing I have found out is that the Westchester Public Affairs Blog has been crippled by Mr. Fox's fear of the Luciano's and Mr. Sloan. He was critized earlier by the Luciano's and Sloan for "not protecting them sufficiently" and Mr. Fox caved in, thus making his blog site ineffectual and impotent to critize the powerful intrests in Westchester which are dominated by the Luciano family and Don Sloan,and protected by there hand picked Mayor,the ineffective,puppet,Mayor Gattuso!Sloan and the Luciano's are extremely happy that Mr. Fox has self imposed on himself to be the censure of any discussion on his blog,thus falling into Sloan's and Luciano's trap of subverting his blog and any critizism of themselves.
Mr. Fox needs to loosen up, and allow bloggers to be able to read there blogs immediately,even if includes crtisicim of the Luciano's and Sloan! If he does'nt not only will he have fallen, as Sloan says"to our intimidation " he'll lose my votes and many others throughout Westchester!

Hey Carl is it true that in Westchester Don Sloan and The Luciano's threatened to cut Rick Fox's testicles off and shove it down his throat, if he did'nt stop blogging about them?
I heard it was true, because now The Westchester blog takes days for anyone to post a comment and Mr. Fox has become the "Blog Traffic Warden", by not alowing any comments to be put on without his approval and Sloan's and the Luciano's!
Your see, in Westchester we don't allow Taliban members to get out of hand,like you have in Proviso!

Mr. Nyberg, I tried to blog on the Westchester blog today, and have yet to see it posted? What kind of Blog is that?I think the Westchester blog guy is blogging only for himself? What a creep, either allow blogging or get out of Bloggersphere!

The Westchester blog must be similar to the Forestparkfirst blog. After the mayor and his editors review your entry, it may or may not be posted.

Carl - As you know better than most from administering this blog - the posts can get out of hand at times.
I am not aware of any threats made by Don Sloan, the Luciano's or anyone else. I do monitor posts on the WPA blog now. It's unfortunate, but there were three or four people who did everything they could to shut down the blog. It's one thing when they criticize me because they don't like my politics, but when they get into spreading rumors about teenage girls in town, making threats to every blogger whose opinion they disagree with and generally just being foul-mouthed - I decided to have all posts sent to me first, where I would then decide whether to post them.
I invite anyone to read WPA, post if you choose - whether you agree with me or not - and then judge for yourself if I avoid publishing posts critical of myself, Sloan, or the Lucianos.
I can only guess who is now making those claims, but as I said, read the blog and judge for yourself. Those same detractors are likely to post here, and on WPA under multiple screen names saying they've tried to post and it never made it on the blog.
I have several simple rules: Don't swear. Don't threaten or attack others. Base your arguments on facts, not rumors or other baseless nonsense. I also tire easily of the juvenile name calling. The purpose of the blog is to discuss what is taking place in our community, not allow for a name-calling free-for-all.
If you follow those rules - you will see your posts.

The Mayor bad mouths the "FP Review" and Carl's blog but now he wants to use it as a tool for his election. Give me a break - sad, pathetic and stupid pretty much sums his actions.
He is the lamest Mayor Forest Park has ever had. He talks out of both sides of his mouth.
If the Mayor is blogging so will BkissbutBones. Disgusting.
