  • Carl,

What's going on with the District 209 Superintendent interviews?

Rumor has it that there are a number of qualified applicants, but regardless of their qualifications...the under qualified Libka will be the next Superintendent.

Any thoughts? Is there any validity to this rumor?

  • Carl, I heard that a certain Township trustee is known as a slum landlord and has not maintained his property in one of our towns. This person, has not cut the grass or picked up his mail, nor does he rent the house out.
I can't believe that there are poeple like this, who are elected, but yet can't manage there own homes.
I heard this person is originally from kentucky and tries to play off like he is irish!

  • The board will hire Libka. It is not a secret! The community outrage should follow after his appointment.

The community outrage should have taken place when Libka was even given the position as Supt. then CEO. Welch knows that he can pimp the Black community. He has been trained well as Moore's apprentice. DAMN SHAME!

  • pamela said: don't you remember deja vu when Crawford was superintendent of 209? He was also not qualified to be super so they made Montoya super and him asst. Seems like deja vu

  • Yeah, Carl what about Trotties story in the Journal? WTF?

She's gotta be nuts putting something like that out there. Do I smell "lawsuit"?

Frankly, I'm wondering since she's affiliated with the Wednesday Journal what's Haley's take?

Frankly, what's Frank say about he allegations?

I didn't think she was his type anyway.

  • You are absolutely right Pamela and they got rid of Crawford! Just like they should of Libka. From your writings Pamela, it seems that you are a supporter of Libka and have supported the board's decision with his hiring. What is your take on incompetents running a school district. Didn't Welch not support Crawfor as supt then and fought against manzo to oust Crawford? But now Welch turns around and does the same thing. It seems that Welch is repeating history. Welch has come bakc to be the overseer for the White man!

  • Carl,

Can comments be date stamped? The time stamp is of little use without a date.
It would also be helpful when folks add new stuff to dormant comments.

    Dat's what's up.

  • to dejavu2 from pamela: I think you have your dates confused./ Welch wasn't even involved with Dist. 209 when Crawford was ousted. Manzo didn't have a choice, Crawford didn't have the certification. BTW Teresa Kelly was on the board at that time. I'm not a Libkla supporter, but I don't hate the man. Proviso seems to hire the biggest group of incompetent doctors on the planet. I think they all got their education on the internet. In my opinion, unless the super is a fire breather, he really doesn't help matters at the school level. Even Jackson. who was pretty powerful, couldn't keep the schools in line. Proviso needs a whole new group who is concerned about education. Quit hiring from the neighborhood and start hiring people who know what they're doing!
