    What's going on with the District 209 Superintendent interviews?

    Rumor has it that there are a number of qualified applicants, but regardless of their qualifications...the under qualified Libka will be the next Superintendent.

    Any thoughts? Is there any validity to this rumor?

  • Carl, I heard that a certain Township trustee is known as a slum landlord and has not maintained his property in one of our towns. This person, has not cut the grass or picked up his mail, nor does he rent the house out.
    I can't believe that there are poeple like this, who are elected, but yet can't manage there own homes.
    I heard this person is originally from kentucky and tries to play off like he is irish!

    Frankly, I'm wondering since she's affiliated with the Wednesday Journal what's Haley's take?

    Frankly, what's Frank say about he allegations?

    I didn't think she was his type anyway.

    Can comments be date stamped? The time stamp is of little use without a date.
    It would also be helpful when folks add new stuff to dormant comments.

  • to dejavu2 from pamela: I think you have your dates confused./ Welch wasn't even involved with Dist. 209 when Crawford was ousted. Manzo didn't have a choice, Crawford didn't have the certification. BTW Teresa Kelly was on the board at that time. I'm not a Libkla supporter, but I don't hate the man. Proviso seems to hire the biggest group of incompetent doctors on the planet. I think they all got their education on the internet. In my opinion, unless the super is a fire breather, he really doesn't help matters at the school level. Even Jackson. who was pretty powerful, couldn't keep the schools in line. Proviso needs a whole new group who is concerned about education. Quit hiring from the neighborhood and start hiring people who know what they're doing!
