I beg to differ with you. the welch is out of commission. He has burned all of his bridges and is up to his receeding hairline in campaign debt. The guy is done. He cany get a donation from anymore contractors because they dont have any more work because he lost the race along with his mentor moore. my gut feeling is that his bills in D88 wil skyrocket again and he will try to annie-up that way. but the word is that he will be fired at the d88 next board meeting. hmmmmm. Polotics make strange bed fellows. Lets just ait and see!!!1

why treat us like slaves said...
For the past 10 years, this township has been used as a dumping ground for the poor. Because of it’s location in Cook County, the district has been used to warehouse poor Chicagoans. This region has the lowest real estate value, in the area.. The poorest suburb in the US is found here - Maywood; and Bellwood is not far behind.Proviso township represents a region of Illinois similar in some ways to Haiti.
This district has became a lab for government social welfare programs. Businesses moved out as local governments focused on providing social services over business services. This region became the land of housing projects, Section 8 housing, fatherless families, gangs, crime, and failing schools. White flight has caused a housing boom in DuPage for families searching for safe affordable housing.
This region has been hit by the 21st Century. Steel mills, manufacturing plants, and blue collar jobs have been leaving since 1979. With a generation of Republican leadership in Springfield, this Democratic region was ignored.
We are witnesses to what happens when a region is only supported by welfare checks and ignored by both political parties.
My concerns stem from the fact that both the current useless bunch in charge of these school districts, as well as the oppostion has no plans other than they seeking to see there names on the banners !I believe and hope that with "No Child left behind law", that these three school districts shouls be close to being taken over by either the state or the federal goverment. That is the only solution for these school districts because neither side is worthy to sit on the boards. These individuals are poorly educated and they don't have integrity to lead these districts, and most importantly they think that they are the educators, the superidents and principals!!!!

“We Need Help" is clueless.
Please refrain from the soapbox rhetoric of days past and write with current and applicable common sense.
The foul stench that resonates from your posting is reminiscent to the staunch incompetence of one self-proclaimed “Telling the Truth”. Just as plagiarism has no place on this blog, neither does incoherent ramblings of a man drunk by his own aspirations of power.
Candidates will be judged by their individual track records…and not by a 40 million dollar yard sign or the lack there of…

Please stop and pay attention to whats going on with our children in these schools. We need to focus on the education instead of the foolishness. there has been a big bash planned once again by the Twin towers Mr. moore and Mr. Welch. They are sponsored a "Juke Fest" as my son calls it on May 7,2006 at A Banquet Hall in Maywood. Why was this allowed and who would let thier child got to such an event with an open adult bar? Glad mine stayed at home.Too late , the party is over!!!!!!!!!
