BLOG, Cynthia's Interests

I've added Cynthia's Interests to the Proviso Probe blogroll. She describes herself as a "close relative of Chris Welch" in the entry about the Trib endorsement.

Cynthia and I are probably gonna disagree on Emanuel "Chris" Welch, but she has an attractive, organized, well written blog that isn't afraid to write something controversial. See Jewish-Black Conflict in Illinois Government.

Visit Cynthia's Interests and say hello.

Also, I created an entry on Soap Blox Chicago covering the local bloggers nominated for Koufax Awards.

Like you have said Carl, Welch supporters are like Bush supporters. But if you are Welch's relative you are even more demented. Wouldn't you be if your relative is handing out jobs and contracts?

Speaking of Welch relatives, does anyone have any information on the actions of his Godmother, the principal at West, Alexas Wallace during the boys' basketball game on March 3. I heard she cursed the referees and told them to get the hell out of her school. I heard the referees are going to report her actions to IHSA. Any truth to that?
Oh yes, after she cursed and hollered she began to cry.....THE OSCAR GOES TO ALEXAS WALLACE.
    Proviso as usual.

  • @Anonymous: I know for a fact Welch doesn't have a Godmother...

FYI - I'm completing a PhD in Biology and I can get my own job.

Thank you very much for thinking about me.

  • Really Ms. PHD., what have you done with your education to help the students at Proviso who are failing. I am sure you can get your own job with a PHD, but what about your other relatives: convicts, drug dealers, and community rejects. What about them? Maybe you should help them get into a GED program.
The Blacks who have "made it" tend to forget where they have come from. A PHD does not make you better than the next man, but I applaud your accomplishments....NEXT now help your relatives get off of skid row.

And by the way you must don't know much about Proviso, because your dear cousin has openly stated that the Principal at West is his godmother. I believe it has been printed...do you read obituraries?

Let's be honest, the communtiy could care less about Welch or Yarbrough, they would like to just have someone in that office who will look out for the community. And Ms. PHD, Welch's track record of spending $40 million on a building is not proof that he is a good handler of money.
But I understand your argument blood is thicker than water. I just hope that on March 21 the Yarbrough relatives out number the Welch realtives. See at the polls Ms. PHD or is that Mrs. PHD.

  • Apparently, Welch is important to you, otherwise you would not be spewing all this venom. Are you jealous?

  • Pamela says: I heard Queen Wallace stopped a black history assembly and swore at the kids because they were being disrespectful. Seems like a principal should be more, I don't know, more like a principal

  • Although this does not justify any explanation, do your homework

  • Okay, and this was in the paper, but what was printed and said at his funeral is not the same. For now, let's leave a dead man alone please! Why is Welch now trying to distant himself for the psycho principal? Is it because she is not qualified?

  • Black Man STANDING UP states....

Yes, Welch is important, not to me, but to the community he serves. He has put our community in further debt. And no I am not jealous of him, actually I admire his perserverance, coming from such a distorted family and background, and for him to go to college and become a lawyer. Miss. PHD, venom and facts are two different things. It is apparent that you do not live in Proviso Township. When Welch first ran for school board he promised the community that he would not build a magnet school, because it is a smoke screen for jobs and contracts (I have his political piece) and he also told the people of Melrose that his parents were deceased. Welch is a LIAR, BOTTOM LINE, but he is no different from any other politican. I just thought, and was tricked, that he would do better for the students and people in Proviso Township. It is an easy cop out to say someone is jealous of Welch, but I have been in Proviso long enough to know that this young guy is not good for community. Miss. PHD don't respond with shallow answers. Be honest, call a spade a spade and a liar a liar. I am sure most readers of the blogger have relatives that they are not proud of. Chris Welch is yours. You can pick your nose, but you can't pick your family. I hope this makes sense enough for you Miss. PHD, coming from a commoner and all. God Bless you sista!

  • YARBROUGH SUPPORTER ALL THE WAY!
    My stament is:

Cythia are you jealous of Karen Yarbrough? You Have made some venomous attacks against her. Why are you able to point the fingers at others and not see your own faults. You know more about Proviso than you claim, and I know more about you than you know. Keep it real, Cindy.

Again, Cindy are you jealous of Karen Yarbrough? Maybe, not because you have your "PHD in Biology and can get your own job." There are alot of people in Proviso that do not have the opportunity to get a PHD, so what is your advice for them to get a job?

Campaign, lie, steal, cheat, and put up signs for CHRIS WELCH!

  • "Black man STANDING UP" Your comment is poignant.

Not only are you fair and balanced in your statement, but a good judge of character, and dead-on ACCURATE!

You seem to know background about the "crazy" state of things.

  • Black man STANDING up says:

Thanks L. Trottie. If people do not stand up to Welch's trickery then the community will fall!

  • I would have preferred if people had been more welcoming to Cynthia.

Practically all of us were impressed with Welch when we met him. It was only after dealing with him in an adversarial role that we developed our antipathy of him.

Cynthia primarily knows him from family functions. I doubt ECW pulls the stuff that makes him dislikable as a public official at private family gatherings.

I'm gonna disagree with Cynthia on Chris Welch. That's OK. That's one of the strengths of the Democratic Party. There's room for cooperation among those that disagree.

Cynthia is a highly proficient blogger. For those of you that haven't tried it, it's harder than it looks.

I hope Cynthia will continue to visit Proviso Probe and leave her comments. She's good. And even if you disagree with her on the Welch-Yarbrough race, you should be reasonable and respectful because it's the right thing to do.
