M06, attacking yardsigns [7th Rep]
Pioneer Press (David Pollard) devoted an article to Democratic Committeeman Eugene Moore's accusations that Jason Ervin and the Yarbrough campaign are damaging Moore's yardsigns.
First, I suspect that if one conducted an honest inventory of sign vandalism and stealing, the Moore/Welch camp would have far more offenses than the Yarbrough camp.
Second, Pollard didn't even mention the numerous examples of Moore and Welch placing unauthorized signs. The placement of unauthorized signs by Moore & Welch is well documented. For examples, Pollard may want to read this entry or this entry.

Hey, Carl, any comment on the Trib's endorsement of Chris Welch? It was a pretty positive one too.

Sure was...I think I'll send them my "beneath the surface" postings.
That way they can see the dishonesty in Chris Welch's message and actions.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Pioneer Press has provided continuity of coverage to the Proviso communities it covers.
You may like the work of Seth Stern at Forest Park Review, but Pioneer Press takes a steady strain.
Pioneer Press doesn't do as much as it should to explain issues and build connections, but it does cover a high percentage of the stuff that should be covered.
Also, it seems like now is a strange time to bust on Pioneer Press. In the last few months Pioneer Press has been fiestier than normal in challenging Serpico, Melrose Park, Welch's legal bills, etc.
I will criticize an article here and there, but overall Pioneer Press is a significant asset to the community. I encourage everyone in a Pioneer Press community to subscribe.

People are taking Michael Nardello's yard signs down left and right. Harmon may not be authorizing it himself, but his machine supporters would have no qualms doing something like that
