  • My prayers, are going out to the family of these 3 people, but mostly to the young ladies family. I remember this day becasue it was on valentines day. The shot were about 6-7 and all of a sudden, poilce lights and everything...My heart goes out to the families and of those that seen it happen.

  • Rest In Peace Amanda. I met her when she was just a freshman and the last time I saw her, she was all grown up just a day before she was killed. You're in a better place!

  • I want to thank everyone for their prayers for our family during this difficult time in our lives. Our lives will never be the same. Amanda is truly missed and just reading the comments was encouraging.

Amanda's name will continue to ring in the streets of Maywood and everywhere else.

Last year, under her foundation, we awarded 8 scholarships to eigth graders during a poetry contest and was able to send a young lady on prom who wanted to go, but was challenged with finances. All of this was made possible through the Purchase an Amanda Special Day at Uncle Remis in Bellwood, IL. We thank Charmaine the owner as she knew Amanda. Amanda was a loyal customer to that location almost everyday. Charmaine donated 25% of proceeds to the foundation to help the young people. Again, thank you Charmaine to you and your staff.

There will be another Amanda Special Day to help more young people.

This was a senseless crime. I challenge young people to think about their decisions... If you make folish ones, remember YOU COULD HAVE BEEN THE PERSON WHO DISCOVERED A CURE FOR A MAJOR DISEASE, ETC..
