The number of families who move out when their children reach high school age has been an ongoing problem for the town. Parents who cannot send their children to area private schools sometimes leave town because academic performance in Proviso Township High School District 209 compares unfavorably to neighboring districts.

The strength of Westchester is many, such as good grammer schools and quiet streets! But Westchester is facing major issues that were not addressed by the great Mayor Sinde in his last trem, and that was development of the town. The past election was a disgrace because nobody was running except for three individuals who had no plans!The winner was Paul Gattuso, who was backed/forced to run by the Luciano clan, who now run Westchester and it's parks and police!Westchester needs development and big development soon! The town is looking like Bellwood, and god forbid your car breaks down on Rosevelt Rd. at night! Mannheim Rd. and Roosevelt Rd. need business development and housing development! Gattuso ran on looking to find ways to get another high school and still has not adressed it!I think Gattuso is in over his head, and has no idea or plan! The Luciano's are really running the town, and Paulie looks like a deer caught in headlights!Gattuso needs to get out of his hotdog stand, and start working for the town! He needs to get away from Luciano and bring a real village manager , maybe from Schaumburg or Naperville(pay him for what he will be worth) and start expanding, or else in two years Deadcheater willl become Westwood!If Gattuso is still around in 4 years and continues with his lame excuses, get rid of him along with the board !

Westchester is turning into a ghetto because of the lack of vision and because of a certain township trustee and his efforts to bring Eugene Moore into Westchester and his support for electing black trustee's for Westchester!

Westchester needs to have a good goverment with vision!Instead you have Casey,Fox and Bieklman fighting the board! Maybe what they need is to have the wrath of Don Sloan on their butts to calm them down and have them resign!

Did Don Sloan really get Mayor Gattuso elected as well as his board members and the park district trustees? If that is true , I could then not support the Mayor because , what I do know is that Don Sloan is the most corrupt public offical in Westchester and in Proviso!
