a rumor about FBI and Eugene Moore

The FBI was investigating Eugene Moore for illegal activity in connection with his role in "investing" the Maywood Police Pension Fund before the September 11th attacks. The source speculated that the FBI agents conducting the investigation were pulled off the case to do 9/11 related investigations.

  • Anonymous 4:45 is right on the money. To beat Moore, the field must be cleared. Last election he paid Paul Esparza $50,000 to be a candidate in the committeeman's race which split the vote. Melrose Park provided the margin for Moore to win. If he's smart, he'll try that recipe again. Flowers has run township wide and has an outside chance, but unless he has significant dollars to pay an attorney to challenge whoever Moore puts in the race, he's dead in the water!
    Mari Harrall should run. She certainly has an axe to grind after Gene crossed her in the township race and she can raise $$$.
