Proviso Probe will operate until February, 2010 primaries

Tonight I'm going to a committee meeting of IVI-IPO to discuss how to improve the candidate endorsement process. Two nights ago I attended a meeting with a political organization (Tenth Dems) about how to improve the organization's use of social networking.

I did get sick of blogging on stuff Proviso for awhile, but I care about some of this stuff. I would like to see Proviso elect good representatives in the February, 2010 election. After that, this blog will go away away unless some way to make it substantially more lucrative than it has been emerges.

  • I will spend some attention on the IL-07 race (Congressional seat currently held by Danny Davis), the race for President of the Cook County Board and probably the Cook County Commissioner district held by Earlean Collins.

    Any other races important to you?

    Oh, and the Proviso Township committeeman races if they are contested.

  • I too would like to hear more about the Flowers mess.
    I'm also wondering if PMSA admissions should be scrutinized like they are doing with the magnet schools in Chicago. Seems to me a math and science academy should show better test scores on math and science.

    209 Supt, flys back and forth to SC (her home town) on proviso east's atheletic dept's credit card, like
    3 times this summer already. is that included in her
    contract. she get paid more than enough to do her
    personal travel. You agree, please check it out!

  • i understand there is a real serious fight going on
    at the maywood park district. the new commissioners are trying to make some sense of
    undocumented money being spent. seems the current executive staff is giving them quite a time, like no answers. did you know that the grant money given to the park dist to rehab the vacant building on 9th and Madison, by Senator Lightford is supposedly all spent and the building is still not ready for use. and the financial record of what the money was spent for are not clear. I understand they used the money for other things.
