congrats to Eugene Moore
Moore defeated challenger Alderman Ed Smith. Congratulations to Moore. I'd still like him to stop being involved in District 209 (Proviso Township High Schools).
However, the defeat of Karen Yarbrough's proxy candidate means Yarbrough has been on the losing side in 1 1/2 elections after a couple of solid victories (defeating Moore for Dem committeeman) and having Charles Flowers elected Regional Superintendent of Education.
The April, 2007 school board losses were only half a defeat b/c Yarbrough and her husband consolidated power in the Village of Maywood.

We the citizens would like Karen Yarbrough to stay out of maywood village business. We the citizens would like Yarbrough to stay out of school businesss. We the citizens regret the day we elected her into office. We the citizens hope the West Suburban finsihes her off.
Carl, are you actually touting Yarbrough's flunky Flower's. If Flowers, who got elected simply because is name was on the Dem ticket, thanks to stupid, opposing a Republican, is all that Yarbrough has to show on the job - like Trump says: You're fired!!!
Flowers the menace to school districts everywhere can't even find his way to pay his debts so the IRS froze all his assets. Thanks Yarbrough for pickin' a real winner!

Take a closer look at the polls and you will find that Maywood, "Yarbrough's consolidated power", did not vote for her proxy in this election or April 2007.
The voter trend is not in her favor. A fact well documented in her hometown April 2007 and again Super Tuesday.
Moore may not be Committman by name, but he sure as hell is when it counts.

Yarbrough only defeated Moore because Trottie, at that time didn't know better, and helped her get elected just like she helped Moore get re-elected.
Nyberg, you must be looking at Flowers win from desparation.
Where in Cook County can't a Dem beat out a Republican.
Flowers, in finacial and personal ruin, is as much a disgrace as Yarbrough.
They should both go have a drink at NutBush!

The only insider or political pundit or politician who predicted Gene Moore's victory was Arnie Bryant.
3 weeks before the primary,Arnie Bryant on his radio show was asked to predict the outcome of the election between Moore and Smith, and Arnie thought that Moore would win by big numbers!
I guess Arnie was right!

Sorry, but Trottie predicted that Smith would run against Moore and Moore would defeat Smith. The column, Apocolypse Now, appeared in Aug, or so, 2007. Trottie has not lost an endorsement yet. Maybe the last trustee race, I'm not sure. Does anyone know?
