GOV, District 88 board meeting [D88]
Yesterday evening the District 88 board met.
The board majority replaced Althea Busby as president of the board with Marilyn Thurman. Busby had been elected president when Busby-Castrejon-Dorris-Wicks formed the majority. Castrejon, who is also the elected Stone Park Clerk, switched to the Anderson-Miller-Thurman block about the time the wife of Stone Park Mayor Beniamino Mezzulla got a job at District 209. Emanuel "Chris" Welch, the District 88 attorney, is president of the District 209 board. The Anderson-Castrejon-Miller-Thurman block had been able to pass its motions with Busby as president for months, but decided to replace her at yesterday's meeting.
District 88 voted to leave PAEC (Proviso Aread Exception Children), a special education consotium, after the 2006-07 school year. Interim Superintendent Dr. Drew Starsiak said the move would save District 88 over $200,000 per year.
As expected Ed Brownlie's position was eliminated. His contract will not be renewed at the end of this school year. Interim Superintendent Dr. Drew Starsiak states it was an "economically feasible" way to save about $100,000. Board member John Wicks said it was "politically motivated".
John Wicks and Althea Busby questioned spending on plumbers and cleaning supplies. It has often been alleged that District 88 spends much more for cleaning supplies than is necessary.
Emanuel "Chris" Welch is the board attorney, but did not attend the meeting. James J. Roche the principal at the firm filled in.
There was a protracted discussion over approving the minutes of the March 13, 2006 meeting.
The minutes read, "A motion was made by Mr. Anderson and seconded by Ms. Thurman that the posting for Part-Time Custodial Positions be approved, as discussed in closed session."
Wicks claims that these minutes do not accurately reflect what happened at the meeting. Wicks alleges the positions were posted as being temporary, part-time and without benefits. After the right people were hired, the positions were upgraded to included benefits.
The three people hired were:
* Stanley Hallom
* Laron Murphy
* Juan Lean
Wicks further alleges all three have close personal connections to members of the Anderson-Castrejon-Miller-Thurman block.

I guess Ms. Busby wasn't working out? These school boards are more concerned with jobs, contracts rather than education. They should be ashamed of themselves!
As the children matriculate through this system and not be educated, we can expect to hire more police officers. Kids drop out of school to drop in jail. Shame.

These individuals have familes and need there jobs to support them and pay there mortgages!Remember that the freedom trains for slaves came through Maywood and now these two are planning to halt are liberty!

The blood sucking beast that appears throughout the world most notably in Maywood and Bellwood, feasting on the blood and carcasses of sheep and various other animals,as well as Yarbrough and Bryant supporters, was sighted on 5th Ave.in Maywood savoring his prey. The prey was his last available political meal, the unsuspecting, the down trodden, those with the most need for sustenance. The savagery of it all! Those who have been in the vicinity of Chris Welch and Gene Moore or a vampire used garlic to ward off being eaten alive. Who has the wooden stake or the silver bullet to protect the unsuspecting prey found on 5th Ave.from the bloodsucking,goblin,vampire brothers of Welch and Moore?????

It looks like Ms. Busby got the big sucker award of the night. about 6 months ago she turned her back on Dorris and wicks under the direction of Chris
Welch. now they stuck it to her last night. It has been real exhausting going to these meeting and when not there hearing about them all in our schools.If people would just be loyal to the ones who supported them in the first place it will all be ok. Thurman supported wicks when he first got to d-88 but he let the Yarbrough camp suck him up. Now the tables have turned and everyone is getting screwed and Thurman has come out on top. You go Marry thurman.....Get em Girl....I aint mad at you . if they dont know how to play the game they shouldnt be in it. Welcome back PRES>

Tahtas why Thurman took over the board. she pulled all of Wicks people except his one true loyal running mate, Ms. Dorris. She will never leave wicks. and wicks will never leave her. For the rest, they all have been bought and sold for a job or either a false promise. Dont pep it up for Thurman because she aint all what you think she is. She is controlled by the masters also. masa, masa, masa, We sick too masa????? get a grip grape juice and wake up fool.

As a general rule, arguments are more persuasive without the Nazi analogies.

I also discourage people from trying to guess the identity of people posting anonymously.
Usually the guesses are wrong and it shouldn't matter in most cases.
Also, it breaks the rhythm of the discussion.
