MUSIC, Liberty Bowl [D209]
How many times did the announcers say "Proviso" or "Proviso Township" during the Liberty Bowl broadcast?
How did it make you feel? How did it make Proviso Township a better place?
How did it make you feel? How did it make Proviso Township a better place?

Maurice Wallace killed Olamide Adeyooye "to get his name in the news" and Proviso Township High Schools got excited about spending money to subsidize AutoZone so it could hear its name called on national television.
And people wonder how Jerry Springer finds guests.

Made me feel good that some underprivileged kids got to go on the trip of a lifetime. Might be as simple as just doing something good for people. The kids who the Township helped to send might benefit from this experience in ways we cannot even imagine. Let them enjoy this time and grow from it.

I felt bad that the entire halftime show was ignored except for a brief observation of, all things, the Beach Boys and then one high above overview that probably had the Proviso bands in one of the four quadrants on display. However I realize that none of the bowl games show much of their halftime shows to the TV audience for a variety of reasons. What is important is the great quality of the 209 music programs DESPITE the POOR quality of the school board majority. I include, for example, the excellent combined east-west 209 Madrigal dinner performances this year.

Underprivileged kids? How do you define "underpriviledged?" These kids wear $150 gym shoes, designer clothes, hvae their nails manicured, toes pedicured, drive cars, have cell phones and god knows how much those hair-do's cost. The expeience was good for them but underpriviledged they are not!

Did you know that 40% of Illinois high school students qualify as "low income"? Guess what the number is for Proviso Township?

Crome Dome is right, Woll speak.
Lipka actions are baffling and need explaining.
How does he in good conscience do the questionable things he's done? He is not even qualified for the job (no super endorsement) But, I guess the Welch/Moore women-haters can't have Ms Murphy for the super even if she has the qualifications cause she's a woman. So they use her to undergird Lipka.
What are the combined salaries for this duo? Can 209 afford to pay both?
But, back to the question of Lipka- Woll speak or are you as in the dark as we all are about him?

Be glad to speak regarding Bob Libka. The Bob Libka I have known for 20 plus years is, absolutely an honorable and decent deeply religious person and, he is a good educator. I did not know Mr. Gilchrist personally but I think that both these gentlemen are/were caught in the most horrible of places. Can you imagine trying to be an educator with the kind of school boards we have continually elected to 89 and 209? I also know and respect deeply a certain long time superindentent of 89. Some of us get caught between evil and say, I am going to try to do as much as I can for the children, young people of 89, 209 or where ever. Of course I would respond. Have I ever remained silent in regards to controversial matters? And I ever had to resort to being anonymous? I also have to admit that my hands are full with working on mainly Maywood affairs and I absolutely do not have the time to follow all the actions of either Bob Libka, Kevin Gilchrist or past and present board majorities. But what I have seen and read about the various 4-3 votes stinks to high heaven and I personally wish that Bob Libka, or anyone else did not have to work for such a corrupt system. So, how's that for an answer?

By the way, 209 custodian, did you know that in most school districts, custodians, paralegals, secretaries and other non-certified staff are actually hired, promoted or demoted based on their abilities, not who they know or how much political work and contributions they are FORCED, against the Shakeman act to do!! Do I ever "diss" white folks?? Good question. The answer is that over the years I have strongly, very strongly criticized the likes of Babe Serpico, Danny Coglianese, Augie Taddeo, former Maywood mayor Jimmie Parrilli, and don't get me started on the likes of our President or, even our Governor and immediate past governor. It is not racist to say that in our immediate area except for township government, most of our power brokers, given our demographic make-up, happen to be African-American. And township is something I know little about and barely know the names of the players such as Sloan so I cannot really talk with knowledge about them other than a general belief that township government is unnecessary in our area. Finally, I am generally favorable to any number of local area African-American politicians from Earlean Collins, Ed Smith, Danny Davis, through Henderson and Karen Yarbrough. Wow, time to get some sleep but I think I have responded to every question raised. Thanks for asking.

Hey, I got the job okay and I can do the job and sometimes I can help the kids out cause they need help. I got to fed my family to. So I got to pass out some flyers sometime but I can still vote for who I know is good. I might not be educated but I got good sense to know a break when I get one and I took it. I only had two jobs in my life in this is a good one but nobody buys my vote. You know it's us on the inside that really do know the scoop on what's happen. Ask us. We'll tell you. But, I think you know already that some of these people you writ about about are bad and don't ker about the kids .
It's dark at East and it's a shame. People bailing out cause they see what's happen. But dont kill the messenger. Send help soon.
