M06, Welch the weenie [7th Rep]

From Welch's press secretary:
At this time the candidate is only speaking to reporters from the media/newspapers, thus, he will not be answering your questions. Thank you for your understanding.

Here are the questions Welch is ducking.
1. Explain what you mean by a "clean campaign".
2. You implied Karen Yarbrough is a Republican
recently turned Democrat. What is the basis of this
claim?
3. What does it mean to you to be a Democrat?
4. Are test scores the best way to quantify school
performance? If not, what measure should be used? How
have District 209 students scored while you've been on
the board?

    I've got ample reason for calling Welch a wuss. He refused to answer legit questions before I put the label on him. I'll stop referring to his wimpiness when he stops acting wimpy.

  • Carl, you provide a valuable service for Proviso by having this sounding board but quite frankly, I find some of the comments made to be offensive , vicious and in some cases juvenile. Please ask your bloggers to be adults (not act like adults) and dialog rather than name calling and charactor assasination. It gets real old and tired. What kind of people are these anyway?

    Welch claims that he wants to have a dialogue about the issues, but then he refuses to answer questions.

    Welch makes it seem like he's a serious politician, but he just likes to give speeches and preen at meetings. In practice he ducks questions from people smart enough to call his game out.

  • Carl, if you were smart, you wouldn't be an unemployed Naval Academy graduate. You would have a real job and be able to get a hair cut. That being said, who are you? Why would Welch want to waste his time dialouging with someone who has proven himself as a Welch basher. I agree with the guy. I wouldn't waste my time with you either. Also, please stop calling Proviso employees trying to find dirt on Welch. That's real slimy Carl.

  • I'm just a blogger with an audience. The audience seems to be quite interested and involved in politics.

    But creating something from nothing isn't the kind of thing Welch supporters appreciate, I guess.

    It seems the only kind of accomplishments Welch supporters recognize are getting control of taxpayer money and steering it to "the right" people.

    Whom are you claiming I called?

    I called Dr. Gilchrist after the last Proviso East meeting to discuss the residency requirement proposal. I've called Libka's assistants to request appointments. I had a Proviso employee call me about dumping behind Proviso East.

    Believe it or not, there are a bunch of people looking to take Welch out.

    Hell, I asked Yarbrough for money to do opposition research on Welch and she took the attitude, "why bother?" Welch has pissed-off so many people there's an excess of volunteers looking for dirt on Welch.

    Did you get the fax the Proviso Township Involved Parents sent to Ingraffia and others? What are you gonna say about your guy Welch if that stuff is true?
